Bristol Harbour Festival will take place on 21 - 23 July 2017. If you are a fan of arts, circus, dance, music, boats, nautical capers, good food and drink and general enjoyment - make sure you put it in your diary! The Harbourside will be transformed with over four miles of activities, showcasing the talent and skills of the city. Stretching from the Underfall Yard on Cumberland Road into the City Centre and up to Castle Park, there will be an incredible variety of cultural entertainment. The Tempest, Join Hammerpuzzle Theatre Company for a 30-minute interactive storytelling experience based on Shakespeare’s The Tempest. 22nd July 2017 performances at 10:15am and 11:15am. Midsummer Night’s Dream, Join the HandleBards (the world’s first cycling theatre company) at the farm for A Midsummer Night’s Dream as you’ve never seen it before! 23rd July 2017 performances at 2:30pm and 6:30pm. Many sharks and reptiles have remained virtually unchanged since the time of the dinosaurs. Our Jurassic Shark event celebrates these masters of evolution and allows visitors to find out more about these amazing survivors from our distant past that continue to thrive today. Come and get grossed out by fish dissections, watch our sharks being fed and be in awe touching REAL sharks teeth! Walk It BristolVictorian Summer Circus
Take part in a shipshape shindig as Bristol-based Cirque Bijou bring a Victorian Summer Circus to Brunel’s SS Great Britain. Inspired by the iconic ship’s fascinating voyages, families can enjoy a brand-new show, three times a day on the dockside. Based on the ’Crossing the Line’ initation ceremonies performed by sailors to mark the first time one of their own crossed the equator, the spectacle will feature impressive juggling, hula hoop and acrobatics. 22nd - 23rd July. 12.30pm, 1.45pm and 3pm.
